Time for a spruce-up?

At some point in our lives, there will be times we may want to reinvent ourselves.  These times could come when we experience huge change, like when we leave a job, move to a new house or even in the current world pandemic due to the Coronavirus.

Is it time for an ‘all-new’ you? A completely different self-image or style of content you want to offer? Here are a few hints and tips that might help you do this.

A new self-image

If you’re doing this, try to develop a new image of yourself to serve as a guide to your goal.  Remember not to pull yourself too far away from your comfort zone, it can be too hard to maintain, and you’ll end up going backwards rather than forwards.  If you don’t want to change the real you, think about props you can use, such as wigs and costumes. Review your content

If you’ve got movies or pictures that don’t have a description or any keywords, it’s a good idea to re-visit them and give them a name and some keywords.  We’ll come back to keywords further on in this article.

You can change the names of your Private Gallery images using your Manage Gallery Page and your Movies using the Manage Movie Clips Page.

Quality and quantity

Your customers will want to see good images and videos (lots of them) and will often come back if you update them regularly.

If you’re home alone, see our Selfie guide to learn how to take the ultimate selfie.  Use the rear-facing camera, it’s likely to be superior to the front one.

Consider where you’re going to create your content – do you have a room that has perfect natural, or even artificial, light? It might just be your new place to shoot your content.  Don’t forget to have a quick tidy up before you start creating your content, a messy floor can be a turn-off.

Upload your new content

Now it’s time for your hard work to start paying off.  When uploading content, it’s important to name and categorise it correctly.

Movies –  Customers only see a thumbnail and a short description before subscribing.  Add an accurate summary of what’s in your movie so customers get a flavour of what to expect and select the movie categories using the uploader

Private Gallery – As with movies, customers only see a short description of the image before subscribing.  Don’t leave the image titles blank or just use 1, 2, 3 etc. it doesn’t help your customers in their decision-making process.  Like with your movies, ensure you are giving an accurate description of the image.

Adding keywords to your movies and images means your content will appear when a customer searches that keyword in either the Movies or Pictures searches.

Perfecting your profile
