Penis Size vs Sexual Pleasure

Want the short answer?  Of course you don’t, but here it is anyway.  Some women do actually prefer bigger penises, but before you start googling penis extension, research has shown that most women are more focused on overall appearance and grooming over size.  And let’s not forget that size has zero correlation with your ability to give or receive pleasure.

Unfortunately, all those movies with guys waving around their impressively sized appendages in the face of moaning women have set a misleading standard.  It’s these kinds of misconceptions that have led to 85% of people overestimating the average size of the human penis.  Many are even convinced that everyone else is packing a huge gun and that their size is inadequate.  The result? Lack of confidence and an inability to perform at your best.

So, here’s the low down on penis size.

What is a Good Size Then?

The most recent stats reveal that the average length is 3.6 inches (9.1 cm) when flaccid.  In the erect state, the size goes up to 5.2 inches (13.1 cm), on average.  In terms of girth, the average flaccid girth is 3.66 inches (9.31 cm) and about 4.59 inches (11.66 cm) when erect.  So, the reality really is that all that locker room talk is just that – BIG talk!

On the other hand, a bigger than average dick has been associated with a greater risk of infection and injury.  Also, the greater length could make some positions painful for both partners.  Too much girth isn’t a great thing either.  It could lead to tearing, especially during anal sex, while raising the risk of gagging and choking during oral sex.

In fact, a smaller penis could be much easier to handle for both partners.  You can then focus on pleasure rather than trying to be careful about not inflicting pain.

The bottom line is regardless of size, it is what you do during sex that actually matters.

What Women Want

If pleasure is what you want to give your woman, consider this.  Research shows that only about 36.6% of women say they need clitoral stimulation to reach a climax, even during penetrative sex.  Another 36% say that while they don’t specifically need clitoral stimulation, it does increase the pleasure quotient.  In fact, purely vaginal orgasms are rare.

Now, you might already know that the most sensitive areas, sexually, for a woman, are the clitoris and the G-spot.  But did you know that the G-spot is located only about a third of the way up the vaginal canal?  This means that even a short or small penis can easily do the job of stimulating the G-spot.

On the other hand, women need more focus on foreplay and arousal to experience the highest levels of pleasure and mind-blowing orgasms.  So, stop stressing about penis size and make the experience more fun with some sex toys. For instance, if you feel your girth isn’t enough, you could use a rubber or latex ring or sleeve around the penis to give her a feeling of fullness.  If you’re wondering where to get one, check out the options in our store.

At the end of it all, if you’ve given your partner, man or woman, an unforgettable night full of pleasure, they are not going to walk away thinking about your dick size.  As that old adage goes “It’s not the size of the boat, it’s the motion of the ocean.”
