At AdultWork.com as a proud sponsor of Pineapple Support, we believe in the power of support, community, and self-discovery when it comes to healing from addiction.

We are excited to announce Pineapple Support’s upcoming 6-week support group, starting on October 17th at 6:30 PM EST. This transformative group, led by the experienced facilitator Charlie Nicely, is designed to help individuals on their journey towards recovery and freedom from the suffering of addiction.

The Path to Recovery

Addiction can affect anyone, and finding the path to recovery can be challenging. However, we understand that healing is possible when people come together to support one another. Our 6-week support group is grounded in the belief that every participant has the potential to recover and find freedom from addiction.

Group members will embark on this journey together, sharing experiences and insights as they work towards uncovering and respecting their inner wisdom and individual paths to recovery. The group fosters a safe and non-judgmental environment where participants can explore their unique struggles and triumphs.

A Secular Buddhist Approach

Our support group takes a unique and holistic approach to recovery, drawing inspiration from secular Buddhism. This approach focuses on engaging in mindful awareness to recognize and understand habitual patterns of behaviour. Through this awareness, participants can make new, more supportive choices in their lives.

Mindfulness techniques and meditation play a central role in the group’s approach. Each session begins with a brief meditation, helping participants centre themselves and cultivate inner peace. This practice aids in developing the capacity to increase self-soothing and distress tolerance without resorting to substance abuse or other unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Breaking Free from Obsessive Behaviours

Addiction comes in many forms, from substance abuse to co-dependency, sex addiction, gambling addiction, compulsive shopping, work addiction, and excessive technology use. Our support group is not limited to a specific addiction but rather welcomes individuals struggling with a variety of obsessive behaviours.

Throughout the six weeks, participants will engage in open-sharing sessions, providing a platform for sharing their experiences, challenges, and successes. The group dynamic fosters understanding and empathy, enabling members to learn from one another’s journeys.

Course Facilitator – Charlie Nicely

Charlie Nicely, our experienced and compassionate facilitator, will lead this transformative journey towards recovery. With a deep understanding of addiction and a commitment to helping others, Charlie brings expertise and guidance to the group. Participants can trust in his knowledge and guidance as they work towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Recovery is a personal journey, but it’s one that can be significantly enhanced through the support and understanding of others who have faced similar struggles. The 6-week support group, organized by Pineapple Support and provided by Charlie Nicely, offers a unique opportunity to explore recovery through a secular Buddhist approach, mindfulness, and community.

If you or someone you know is seeking to break free from addiction and find lasting recovery, we invite you to join us on October 17th at 6:30 PM EST.
