Free access to HIV self-tests for UK-based, Female Sex Workers

AdultWork.com have been working very closely with many different organisations over the past year that provides support for our members.  One of the organisations listed in our Support Services section on the Site is Brighton Oasis Project (BOP) who have been offering support to sex workers for nearly 20 years.

If accessing a sexual health clinic is complicated for you for any reason, you may want to try out the FLASH project that BOP have been piloting since August 2018.   You can then take the test in the comfort and safety of your own home and have your results within 15 minutes.  After receiving your kit, all of your personal details are destroyed within 7 days to protect anonymity.  The website, kits and surveys are available in 6 languages and the service is trans-inclusive.

The FLASH project was initially scheduled to run until the end of January 2019, but due to popular demand, has been extended to run until the end of March 2019.  In order to assess the success of this scheme, BOP is asking sex workers to provide feedback through an online survey, or by returning the survey received with the testing kit and in return will be rewarded with a £10 Amazon voucher.

According to BOP, feedback so far has been encouraging with many users commenting how easily and quickly the test can be done at home.
